Heart Rate Monitors
I think that using heart rate monitors in a physical education class is a great idea. I feel that every school should have the opportunity to have these pieces of technology for their students to use. They can help students keep track of their own progress in class and will give them immediate feedback on how hard they are working for the day. One of the best things about these monitors is that the student using them and the teacher are the only people that see their hear rate. No one is being compared to any other student in the class, it's just about individual progress.

I agree with heart rate monitors being used. One year we had the mile test during cross country season and I had a good time with a really low heart rate. Later in the year when I was playing volleyball we had to run it again. The teacher said if you didn't improve you would get a 0. I had to explain to her what my story was because she was about to give me a 0 even though my heart rate was really high but my time didn't show any improvement. I think heart rate monitors are a good piece of equipment but they need to be used correctly.
