Physical Education Class Outside
I think that having a physical education class outside whenever the weather permits is a great idea! As I learned in Outdoor Pursuits and Fitness Education class students just respond better to being outdoors. Teachers I feel would get a much better participation percentage from their students because of the environment. Everyone would rather be out in the sun exercising instead of being in a gym. Dealing with students who are willing to participate in class makes the whole experience of the class so much better.

Mini- Convention
I think that it should be mandatory for physical education majors to take part in the mini-convention. Im not saying they should have to present if they don't want to. But I do think that they should have to contribute in someway maybe with decoration, registration, or even help with transportation. I just think that they should have to be involved in some way. I know some Physical Education majors who are not helping with the convention I think that should not happen.

Banner
I found the new scheduling system to be a downfall overall. When I tried to get on at 8 in the morning the system was not responding. I tried for the next half hour and then had to go see my advisor to get help. The unfortunate thing was that the classes that i wanted were open the night before but since I wasn't able to schedule right away I didnt' get them. I am hoping to get signed into classes that i need but I'm not sure that will happen. I heard from others that the system worked great with no problems and that they loved it, but for me it was the opposite.

Heart Rate Monitors
I think that using heart rate monitors in a physical education class is a great idea. I feel that every school should have the opportunity to have these pieces of technology for their students to use. They can help students keep track of their own progress in class and will give them immediate feedback on how hard they are working for the day. One of the best things about these monitors is that the student using them and the teacher are the only people that see their hear rate. No one is being compared to any other student in the class, it's just about individual progress.
